Sustainability

At Orzax, we conduct our production activities with a “Zero Waste” mindset and continue to advance our environmental responsibility year after year.

Our data covering the years 2023, 2024, and 2025 demonstrates that we have succeeded in reducing our waste volume despite an increase in production volume.

Waste Management and Recycling (2025 Data)

Through our recycling efforts in 2025, we made significant contributions to the conservation of natural resources:
Sustainability
  • By recycling 97 tons of paper waste, we prevented the cutting of 1,649 trees; this also resulted in savings of 397,700 kWh of energy and 2,716 m³ of water.
  • Recycling 3.31 tons of plastic waste saved 53 barrels of oil, while recycling 29.6 tons of wooden pallets protected 198 trees.
  • Through the recovery of approximately 10 tons of glass and 9.4 tons of metal waste, a total of 1,198 tons of greenhouse gas emissions were prevented.

Carbon Footprint and Eco-Friendly Technologies

Sustainability
  • Our corporate carbon footprint was calculated at 4,093 tons, and by remaining below the 25,000-ton threshold, we have confirmed our status as a “low-emission company.”
  • Through our microalgae research at our R&D center, we capture CO2 from the atmosphere and convert it into biomass to produce sustainable raw materials for the food industry.
  • We raise awareness among our employees regarding the “digital carbon footprint” caused by email and data storage.
  •

Resource Conservation and Operational Improvements

Sustainability
  • By reducing the flow rate of sensor-activated faucets from 2 L/min to 1.5 L/min and using industrial-grade dishwashers in laboratories, we achieve water savings of up to 85%.
  • By eliminating the use of plastic water bottles at the workplace and switching to water fountains, we have prevented the use of 1,320 plastic bottles annually.
  • By switching to recycled A4 paper in our offices, we prevent the cutting of approximately 196 trees annually.

At Orzax, we continue to work in accordance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety standards, with the goal of leaving a more livable world for future generations.
