The Invisible Pain Project

At Orzax, through the ‘Invisible Pain’ project, we are shining a light on the silent struggle of millions of people living with fibromyalgia and aim to make this invisible burden visible to society.
Fibromyalgia is a health condition characterised by chronic pain and fatigue that profoundly affects individuals’ quality of life, even though it may not be visible to others. At Orzax, we have organised a meaningful awareness-raising event in collaboration with the Turkish Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to change this “story of misunderstanding” and strengthen social empathy.

Empathy Strengthened Through Experience

Held amidst the healing atmosphere of Belgrade Forest, the event brought together specialist doctors, pharmacists and members of the press, offering them the opportunity to experience the multi-layered effects of fibromyalgia first-hand. In specially designed areas that brought the daily challenges of the condition to life, participants experienced the physical and emotional burden faced by patients through metaphors such as the ‘spiked chair’, which simulates constant muscle tension, and ‘carrying the bed’, which represents the sensation of waking without having rested.

Science and Awareness Combined

The awareness walk and screening of the film “Invisible Pain”, organised as part of the event, highlighted the striking impact of the condition on individuals. During the gathering, where expert opinions were shared, the importance of awareness and accurate diagnosis was emphasised in relation to this chronic condition, which affects 8 per cent of the population in Turkey.

A Vision for the Future

At Orzax, we believe that health is not merely about treatment, but is strengthened by understanding and awareness. We prioritise creating social benefit beyond our commercial success; by combining our scientific approach with our vision of social responsibility, we continue to develop projects that support individuals’ quality of life.
